וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח בְּיַד֙ נָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֔יא וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמ֖וֹ יְדִ֣ידְיָ֑הּ בַּעֲב֖וּר יְהוָֽה׃ (פ)
und er sandte durch die Hand des Propheten Nathan und nannte seinen Namen Jedidiah für den HERRN'S willen.
Rashi on II Samuel
Because of God. That loved him [Shlomo].8יֽדִידְיָה is a concatanation of יֽדִיד, beloved one and יָה, God.
